Soccer Recap: Concordia Lutheran Takes a Loss

Concordia Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 5-0 to the St. Thomas Catholic Eagles. The shutout was out of character for the Crusaders seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in November of 2024.

Concordia Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for St. Thomas Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-1-1 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Concordia Lutheran will host St. Pius X at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th. As for St. Thomas Catholic, they will challenge Village at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. St. Thomas Catholic is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5.2 goals per game this season.
