Volleyball Recap: Cheney Tech Comes Up Short

Cheney Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Norwich RVT Warriors, falling 3-0. The Chargers were not able to make up for their loss to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-17, 25-16.

Norwich RVT was led to victory by Landon O'Brien and Jason Childs. O'Brien had five digs and four aces, while Childs had three aces. That's the most aces O'Brien has posted since back in May of 2024.

Cheney Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Norwich RVT, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cheney Tech will head out to face off against Sports & Medical Sciences Academy/Bulkeley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Norwich RVT, they will venture away from home to take on Putnam at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
