Volleyball Game Preview: Livermore Cowboys vs. Granada Matadors

Livermore hasn't had much luck against Granada recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Cowboys will look to defend their home court against the Matadors at 6:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Thursday, Livermore came up short against Dublin and fell 3-1.

Livermore started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-23, 25-19, 25-21.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Granada and Amador Valley had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Matadors took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dons on Thursday. The Matadors have struggled against the Dons recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

While Granada ultimately came up short, they really made Amador Valley work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 22-25, 25-16, 25-23.

Livermore's loss dropped their record down to 18-14. As for Granada, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-9.
