Baseball Recap: Concord Comes Up Short

After flying high against Reading on Tuesday, Concord came back down to earth. The Yellowjackets came up short against the Sand Creek Aggies on Thursday, falling 11-5. The Yellowjackets have struggled against the Aggies recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Charlie Cole made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI. Jadon Metcalf also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Concord's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Sand Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8.

While Concord had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
