Sentinel dropped their record down to 12-11 on Thursday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against  the Belgrade Panthers, falling  8-2. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in March of 2024.
 Sentinel saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  McKenna Strab, who  went 2-for-3 with one  home run and two  RBI.  Haley Sellers was another,  going 2-for-3 with one  stolen base.
As for Belgrade, the  win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 16-4-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by six  runs or more this season.
On Belgrade's side,  Olivia Mills spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned runs on five hits and racked up 15 Ks. Mills has been consistent for a while: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances.
 At the plate, Belgrade let  Rylee Feight and  Ava Lund run wild. Feight  went 1-for-3 with one  home run, while  Lund  went 1-for-3 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Brooke Stump, who  went 1-for-2 with one  run and one  RBI.
 Sentinel wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  game,  a  12-3  loss against Glacier on the 23rd. As for Belgrade, they have also already played their next contest,  a  10-6  defeat against Billings West on the 23rd.
