Basketball Recap: Lewiston-Altura Takes a Loss

Lewiston-Altura was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 76-41 loss at the hands of the Plainview-Elgin-Millville Bulldogs. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 82-39 back in November of 2024.

Lewiston-Altura's loss dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Plainview-Elgin-Millville, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-6.

Lewiston-Altura has already played their next contest, a 65-53 win against Cannon Falls on the 25th. As for Plainview-Elgin-Millville, they will square off against Cotter at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Plainview-Elgin-Millville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Cotter likes a good challenge.
