Basketball Recap: Jaxon Novotny's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Hudson's Bay over Washougal

Hudson's Bay lost against Washougal back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hudson's Bay Eagles came up short against the Washougal Panthers, falling 62-38.

Hudson's Bay lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jaxon Novotny, who posted 13 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Kelden Carney, who earned 14 points.

Hudson's Bay dropped their record down to 1-14 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Washougal, they moved to 4-11 with that victory, which also ended their eight-game losing streak.

Hudson's Bay didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 82-31 loss against R.A. Long on the 29th. As for Washougal, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 46-44 win against Woodland on the 29th.
