Football Game Preview: Cutter-Morning Star Eagles vs. Paris Eagles

Cutter-Morning Star are taking a road trip to challenge Paris at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cutter-Morning Star is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

On Friday, Cutter-Morning Star beat Perryville 30-22. That eight point margin sets a new team best for the Eagles this season.

Cutter-Morning Star's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brody Speers, who picked up 114 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Speers' longest reception was for an incredible 76 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Santiago Delrio, who gained 149 total yards and a touchdown.

Another reason for the win was Cutter-Morning Star's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for 14 sacks. Jackson McGlone led the group effort, picking up four of those sacks all by himself.

Meanwhile, after only seven points in their last game, Paris made sure to put some points up on the board against Danville on Friday. The Eagles simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Little Johns 35-8. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won three contests by 27 points or more so far this season.

Cutter-Morning Star's record now sits at 3-1. As for Paris, their record is now an identical 3-1.

Cutter-Morning Star came up short against Paris when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 46-42. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Paris' Dimitri Capo, who rushed for 161 yards and four scores while picking up 8.1 yards per carry.
