Basketball Recap: Wisdom Takes a Loss

Wisdom was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Cesar E. Chavez Lobos and fell 70-38. The contest was a close 27-24 at the break, but unfortunately for the Generals it sure didn't stay that way.

Samad Naylor-Walters was nothing short of spectacular for Cesar E. Chavez: he went 11 of 22 on his way to 27 points in addition to six assists and six boards. The game was Naylor-Walters' third in a row with at least ten points. Jason Tran was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Wisdom's defeat dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Cesar E. Chavez, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-15.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Heights the next time they take the court. Wisdom will head out to face Heights at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, while Cesar E. Chavez will host them at 6:00 p.m. on February 10th.
