Preview: Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Bobcats vs. Shelbyville Rams
Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Shelbyville Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully Shelbyville likes a good challenge.
Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City posted their biggest victory since December 1, 2023 on Saturday. They really took it to Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine for the full four quarters, racking up a 62-27 victory at home.
Clayton Wojcik continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 24 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaidyn Calame, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Shelbyville unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Friday. They received a tough blow as they fell 87-72 to Clinton. Shelbyville has not had much luck with Clinton recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City's victory bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Shelbyville, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-5.
Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City took a serious blow against Shelbyville when the teams last played back in January of 2023, falling 66-39. Can Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
