Baseball Recap: Asher Indians vs. Tupelo Tigers
Asher was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell victim to a rough 11-2 defeat at the hands of the Tupelo Tigers. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest runs Asher has scored all season.
For Tupelo's part, Cash Wafford was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and a run. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Walkup, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Asher's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Tupelo, they pushed their record up to 9-3 with that victory, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Asher will take on Lindsay at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tupelo, they will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Ripley at 5:30 p.m.
