After a string of four wins, Eudora's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 65-56 to the Ottawa Cyclones. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while the Cyclones are ranked sixth).

Eudora's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Ottawa, the win keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eudora has already played their next match (against Tonganoxie), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Ottawa will head out to take on Pittsburg at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ottawa knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 contests -- so hopefully Pittsburg likes a good challenge.
