Soccer Game Preview: Lansing vs. Spring Hill

Lansing is 0-4 against Spring Hill since May of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Lions are taking a road trip to take on the Broncos at 6:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Lansing is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Friday. They lost 8-0 to Bishop Miege. While losing is never fun, Lansing can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas soccer rankings (they are ranked 80th, while Bishop Miege are ranked 14th).

Meanwhile, Spring Hill came tearing into Friday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.7 goals), and they left with even more momentum. Their defense stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 1-0 shutout. Spring Hill's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last six matches.

Spring Hill pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those four contests. As for Lansing, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10-1.
