Basketball Recap: Terrell Takes a Loss

Terrell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Corsicana Tigers, falling 69-39. Terrell lost against Corsicana in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 82-26 score last time.

Michael Horn-Reese continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Corsicana, dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten boards. The match was Horn-Reese's 24th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kobe Smith, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 rebounds.

Terrell's loss dropped their record down to 9-17. As for Corsicana, their win bumped their record up to 7-17.

Terrell wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 57-41 defeat against Crandall on the 21st. As for Corsicana, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 61-48 victory against Midlothian Heritage on the 21st.
