Baseball Recap: Long Beach Comes Up Short

Long Beach managed to slip by Pascagoula the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bearcats lost 9-3 to the Panthers on Tuesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Dax Arkin made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Flynn James was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

Long Beach now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Pascagoula, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-11.

While Long Beach had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
