Softball Recap: Ocean View Christian Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Ocean View Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Julian Eagles on Monday, sneaking past 18-17. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Patriots also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2023.

Ocean View Christian got a massive performance out of Tori Worthington, who scored four runs and stole five bases while getting on base in five of her 11 plate appearances. With that strong performance, Worthington is now averaging an impressive 2.2 runs per game. Another player making a difference was Aven Horton, who scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in four of her eight plate appearances.

Ocean View Christian's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Julian, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

When Ocean View Christian and Julian next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Ocean View Christian will try to stop Warner's three-game winning streak when they meet at 3:30 p.m. on the 10th. Meanwhile, Julian will challenge Bonsall and their four-game winning streak at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
