Baseball Recap: Enloe Eagles vs. Athens Drive Jaguars
Enloe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 7-2 to the Athens Drive Jaguars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-3 last Tuesday.
Malhar Shelke was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits. Those hits were his first of the season.
At the plate, Enloe saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Steene, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
