Basketball Recap: Hillsboro Takes a Loss

Hillsboro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 54-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jackson Fighting Indians. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 249th, while the Fighting Indians are ranked 27th).

Despite the loss, Hillsboro still got an impressive performance from Gregory Robinson, who dropped a triple-double on 26 points, 13 boards, and ten blocks. Robinson is crushing it when it comes to blocks: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Cooper Mcgrath, who posted nine points and three steals.

Hillsboro's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Jackson, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-2.

Hillsboro will face off against Festus at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jackson has already played their next match (against Poplar Bluff), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
