Basketball Recap: Delavan Panthers vs. Brimfield Indians
There's no place like home for the Delavan Panthers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They strolled past Brimfield with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 53-39. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Delavan also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Alex Seaton had a dynamite game for Delavan, scoring 13 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. It was the first time this season that Seaton pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Brockhouse, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.
Delavan is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 14-12 record this season. As for Brimfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Delavan won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Patriots at 5:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Peoria Heights has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 390 points over their last six matches. As for Brimfield, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Cyclones at 1:00 p.m. on February 3rd. West Prairie is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
