Softball Recap: Jim Thorpe Takes a Loss

Jim Thorpe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Salisbury Township Falcons, falling 18-12.

Gloria Strohl made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run and five RBI. Another player making a difference was Julianna Frantz, who scored two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Jim Thorpe's record now sits at 1-6. As for Salisbury Township, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2-1 record this season.

Jim Thorpe will square off against Palisades at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Salisbury Township, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Lehighton at 11:00 a.m. Salisbury Township is facing Lehighton at the right time seeing as Lehighton is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
