Softball Recap: Hurricane Falls to Hoover in First Game of Season

Hurricane unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 11-7 to the Hoover Huskies on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Redskins of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Hurricane saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaden Jones, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Looking ahead, Hurricane will head out to take on Huntington at 6:00 p.m. on March 20th. The match will give Hurricane their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for Hoover, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 8-5 victory against Nicholas County on the 19th.
