Recap: Manchester Blue Devils vs. Troup County Tigers
After losing to the Troup County Tigers the last time they met, the Manchester Blue Devils decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Manchester came out on top in a nail-biter against Troup County on Wednesday and snuck past 52-50. The win made it back-to-back wins for Manchester.
Laziya Moody was the offensive standout of the game as she scored 17 points. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Kaliya Gray, who scored 11 points.
The win got Manchester back to even at 3-3. As for Troup County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.
Manchester will finish 2023 at home by hosting Brookstone at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Troup County will be staying on the road on January 5, 2024 to face off against Starr's Mill at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
