Basketball Game Preview: Whitney Wildcats vs. Troy Trojans

Whitney is on a 14-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, Troy a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Friday. The Whitney Wildcats will host the Troy Trojans at 6:15 p.m. Both are at an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2017, but likely not for long.

Last Friday, Whitney took a blow against Clifton, falling 53-19. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1343rd, while the Cubs are ranked 622nd).

Meanwhile, Troy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 33-27 to Clifton.

Troy's loss dropped their record down to 13-15. As for Whitney, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-19.
