Basketball Game Preview: Byne Christian Saints vs. Community Christian Academy Eagles

The Byne Christian Saints will challenge the Community Christian Academy Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Byne Christian has five straight victories, Community Christian Academy has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Friday, Byne Christian needed a bit of extra time to put away Highland Christian Academy. They had just enough and edged out the EAGLES 75-73. 75 seems to be a good number for the Saints as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Byne Christian relied on the efforts of Grantham Jenkins, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds, and Luke Howard, who went 7-for-9 en route to 18 points. Thanks to that strong game, Howard now owns an excellent 40.9% three-point shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Will Skelley, who posted ten points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Meanwhile, Community Christian Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Monday as they fell 59-53 to Central Georgia Arts.

Byne Christian's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Community Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Byne Christian strolled past Community Christian Academy when the teams last played on Tuesday by a score of 75-58. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Eagles' Kylin McDonald, who dropped a double-double with 28 points and 12 rebounds.
