Basketball Game Preview: Clinton Yellowjackets vs. Rural Special Rebels

The Clinton Yellowjackets will square off against the Rural Special Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Last Tuesday, Clinton came up short against Heber Springs and fell 55-48.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rural Special). They blew past Calico Rock 74-44 on Thursday. The Rebels have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 18 games by 20 points or more this season.

Rural Special's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-5. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points per game. As for Clinton, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-14.

Clinton came up short against Rural Special in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 66-59. Can Clinton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
