Football Recap: West Lincoln Comes Up Short at Home Against Richton

West Lincoln unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against the Richton Rebels on Friday, falling 34-0. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

B.J. Brown was a one-man wrecking crew For Richton. as he rushed for 137 yards and one score on only 11 carries, and also caught one TD. Brown showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 55 yards.

Looking ahead, West Lincoln will venture away from home to take on Loyd Star at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Richton, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Amite County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
