Softball Recap: Commerce Gets the Win

On Thursday, the Commerce Tigers beat the Samuell Spartans 6-2.

The team relied heavily on Kamdyn Mills, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Kaleigh Robrecht, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-2.

Commerce was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .421. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Commerce's win bumped their record up to 2-5-1. As for Samuell, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Tigers face off against the Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Samuell, they are taking a road trip to challenge Chisum at 12:30 p.m. on Friday.
