Basketball Recap: Hobart Gets the Win

Highland came into Thursday's contest looking for another win against Hobart, but Aidan Leonard wouldn't allow it. The Hobart Brickies came out on top against the Highland Trojans by a score of 55-45 on Thursday which was due in part to Leonard, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last six games he's played.

Another player making a difference was Jordan Johnson, who posted seven points along with seven assists and five boards. Those seven assists gave him a new career-high.

Several Trojans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cameron Katz, who earned ten points. Andy Rogel was another key player, putting up six points and five rebounds.

Hobart's win bumped their record up to 8-14. As for Highland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-12.

Hobart wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 70-62 loss against Merrillville on the 22nd. As for Highland, they will face off against Calumet New Tech at 7:00 p.m. on February 28th. Highland is facing Calumet New Tech at the right time seeing as Calumet New Tech is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
