Basketball Game Preview: King & Queen Central Royal Tigers vs. Mathews Blue Devils

King & Queen Central is 2-8 against Mathews since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The King & Queen Central Royal Tigers will take on the Mathews Blue Devils at 7:45 p.m. King & Queen Central is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.4 points per game this season.

King & Queen Central will bounce into Thursday's game after beating Carver College and Career Academy, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. King & Queen Central claimed a resounding 70-25 victory over Carver College and Career Academy. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Royal Tigers.

It was another big night for Gerard Hill, who posted 41 points. His evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Calique Bryant, who had ten points.

Meanwhile, Mathews came up short against Northumberland on Monday and fell 74-65. The Blue Devils have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

King & Queen Central's win bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Mathews, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-7.

King & Queen Central suffered a grim 80-60 defeat to Mathews in their previous matchup back in January. Can King & Queen Central avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
