Softball Recap: Devine Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Devine entered their tilt with Gonzales on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Apaches an 11-0 shutout. Considering the Warhorses have won 15 matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Natalie Valle was incredible, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Yaya Rodriguez, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with four stolen bases and two runs.

Devine always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .542. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gonzales only posted an OBP of .062.

Devine's win bumped their record up to 23-5. As for Gonzales, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-12.

Devine will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Apaches: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
