Basketball Game Preview: Kittatinny Regional Cougars vs. Parsippany Redhawks

The Kittatinny Regional Cougars will venture away from home to challenge the Parsippany Redhawks at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Thursday, Kittatinny Regional didn't have too much trouble with North Warren Regional as they won 54-39. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 110th, while the Patriots are ranked 322nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Parsippany had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came out on top against the Patriots by a score of 44-36.

Kittatinny Regional is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Parsippany, their record now sits at 4-2.

Kittatinny Regional came up short against Parsippany when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 36-32. Can Kittatinny Regional avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
