Volleyball Recap: Socastee Braves vs. North Myrtle Beach Chiefs

Socastee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the North Myrtle Beach Chiefs, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chiefs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 11th.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-12, 25-16.

North Myrtle Beach was led to victory by Katlyn Powers and Mikayla Altena. Powers had eight digs and two aces, while Altena had five digs and two aces. Altena is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 13 every time she's taken the court this season. Raphaella Nunes also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Socastee's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for North Myrtle Beach, they pushed their record up to 25-3 with the victory, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season.
