Recap: Reedy Lions vs. Turner Lions

The Reedy Lions can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They walked away with a 53-40 victory over Turner. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Reedy also won the last time the pair played back in January.

It was another big night for Rylen Mitro, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Ford, who scored ten points.

Turner's loss came despite strong showings from Rocco Torres and Tyrell Jefferson. Torres scored 12 points, while Jefferson scored 11 points. Torres continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played.

Turner struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Reedy racked up 16 assists.

Reedy's win bumped their record up to 11-17. As for Turner, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost ten of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 15-12 record this season.

Reedy will head out on the road to face off against the Mustangs at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Creekview is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home. Turner will take on the Trojans at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Newman Smith presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Lions in Texas (the Trojans are ranked 101st, while the Lions are ranked 672nd).
