Basketball Recap: Turpin Comes Up Short

Turpin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Walnut Hills Eagles 75-43. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 546th, while the Eagles are ranked 50th).

Turpin's defeat dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Walnut Hills, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Turpin will challenge Aiken at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Walnut Hills, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Anderson at 3:00 p.m.
