Softball Recap: Somerville Comes Up Short

Somerville and Milano pushed the score to 16-9 the last time they played Milano, but on Tuesday defenses reigned supreme. The Yeguas took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Yeguas' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Emma Williams spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on seven hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

Somerville's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Milano, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-7.

Somerville has already played their next matchup, a 6-5 victory against Snook on the 4th. As for Milano, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 21-1 win against North Zulch on the 4th.
