Basketball Recap: Alamosa Falls Short Against Ranked University + How To Watch

Alamosa faced University in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Mean Moose lost 59-39 to the Bulldogs. The Mean Moose have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Natalie Trujillo had another great game (as she tends to do), as she made all 7 shots she took from beyond the arc for 23 points and five steals for University. Those 23 points gave Trujillo a new career-high. Maddie McNair was another key player, shooting 75% from the field on her way to 14 points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Alamosa fell to 4-1. As for University, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.

Alamosa will take on Gunnison in a holiday battle at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for University, they will be home for the holidays to greet Peak to Peak at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
