Volleyball Recap: El Capitan Gauchos vs. Lodi Flames

El Capitan had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Lodi Flames. The Gauchos have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Flames, too.
Brenden Smith paced El Capitan's offense, picking up 11 kills. Smith got some help from Thomas Hoffman and his 23 assists. Tyler McCreary controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
El Capitan's victory bumped their record up to 19-7. As for Lodi, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-5.
Coincidentally, El Capitan and Lodi will both be playing Bella Vista the next time they take the court. Lodi will head out to face Bella Vista at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while El Capitan will play them later in the day, at 10:00 a.m.
