Softball Recap: Firebaugh Has No Trouble Against Centennial

Firebaugh had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 15-run drubbing they dealt Centennial on Wednesday. The Falcons put the hurt on the Apaches with a sharp 21-6 victory. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won four matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Firebaugh's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Centennial, they dropped their record down to 2-9 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Firebaugh will head out on the road to challenge Dominguez at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons are facing the Dons at the right time seeing as the Dons are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Centennial, they will welcome Beverly Hills at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Normans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 17 runs per game on average), something the Apaches will no doubt try to take advantage of.
