Basketball Recap: Sumrall Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Sumrall extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 1-4. They took a blow against the Purvis Tornadoes, falling 58-24. The Bobcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-7.

As for Purvis, the victory got them back to even at 3-3. That 34 point margin sets a new team best for them this season.

Among those leading the charge was TaShaun Gray, who posted 13 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Derrick Robinson, who earned six points.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sumrall will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Presbyterian Christian at 7:30 p.m. on December 2. As for Purvis, they will welcome Mendenhall at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Tornadoes surely won't give up without a fight.
