Soccer Recap: Wilson Comes Up Short

Wilson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the West Mesquite Wranglers, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, Wilson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 454th, while West Mesquite are ranked 38th).

Wilson's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6-2. As for West Mesquite, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-1-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Wilson is set to square off against their familiar foe North Mesquite at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, West Mesquite will challenge rival Seagoville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
