Baseball Recap: McClain Comes Up Short

McClain lost to Miami Trace on Monday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Tigers fell 9-5 to the Panthers. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Connor Chandler made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. McClain is 6-1 when Chandler posts two or more runs, but 6-8 otherwise.

McClain's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Miami Trace, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McClain will host Western Brown at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Miami Trace, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Cedarville at 5:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 3.9, the Indians 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
