Trinity Presbyterian had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Tuesday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against the Putnam City North Panthers. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by just one run.

Trinity Presbyterian got a great performance from Mason Hawkins as he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off six hits. Those six strikeouts gave Hawkins a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Xavier Boswell was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, one triple, and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Bernier, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Trinity Presbyterian's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Putnam City North, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Trinity Presbyterian wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 4-0 defeat against Fairhope on the 18th. As for Putnam City North, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 13-6 loss against Muskogee on the 19th.
