Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Desert Mountain). They enjoyed a cozy 77-58 win over the Maryvale Panthers on Saturday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Despite the defeat, Maryvale saw an underclassman step up: freshman Elijah Antoine shot 64% from the field to rack up 15 points. Antoine also brought in his first three-point shooting accuracy of the season. Another player making a difference was Keith Harrison, who posted seven points and eight boards.

Desert Mountain has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points over those games. As for Maryvale, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Desert Mountain will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Chaparral at 7:00 p.m. on the 9th. As for Maryvale, they will host Skyline at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers' defense better be ready for this one: the Coyotes have averaged an impressive 51.6 points per game this season.
