Softball Game Preview: Foothill Knights vs. Troy Warriors

The Foothill Knights will face off against the Troy Warriors at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Foothill didn't have quite enough to beat Brea Olinda and fell 10-9. That's two games in a row now that the Knights have lost by just one run.

Foothill got a good showing from Capri Gallego, who didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Furthermore, Gallego didn't allow a single walk, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in March.

At the plate, Violet Bonnet was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Gigi Felizzari was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Troy brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. They never let Crean Lutheran get on the board and left with an 11-0 win on Tuesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Warriors as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Troy's win bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Foothill, they dropped their record down to 8-13 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
