Soccer Recap: Central's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak on the Road

The matchup between Central and Troup County on Saturday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Central Lions' defense stepped up to hand the Troup County Tigers a 10-0 shutout. It was an even better day for Peyton Presley as she scored three goals for her team.

Central's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-4. As for Troup County, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Harris County's defense has only allowed 0.2 goals per game this season, so Central's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Troup County, they will head out on the road to face off against Northside at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Troup County has given up an average of 9 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.
