Recap: Grapevine Faith Christian Lions vs. Brighter Horizons Academy Stars
Make it 12 blowout wins for the Grapevine Faith Christian Lions this season. They blew past Brighter Horizons Academy 77-38 at home. Winning may never get old, but Grapevine Faith Christian sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Grapevine Faith Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brennen Byrd, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Harlin, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds.
Grapevine Faith Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 23-9 record this season. As for Brighter Horizons Academy, they dropped their record down to 1-10 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Bishop Dunne the next time they take the court. Grapevine Faith Christian will host Bishop Dunne at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Brighter Horizons Academy will host them at 7:30 p.m. on February 13th.
