Softball Recap: Boulder Creek Takes Down Ranked Desert Vista

Boulder Creek faced Desert Vista in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Jaguars came out on top against the Thunder by a score of 7-3. This was payback for the Jaguars, who suffered a 12-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Kinsey Wilcox spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Bailey Kerr was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Mikayla McCoy, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games.
