Recap: Eastwood Troopers vs. Americas Trail Blazers

The Eastwood Troopers had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.8 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They strolled past Americas with points to spare, taking the game 50-35. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Eastwood also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Amaya Williams was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds. Williams hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Victoria Duran, who scored nine points along with three steals.

Eastwood's victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-3. As for Americas, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-4.

Eastwood will take on Socorro at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Socorro will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 856th, while Eastwood is ranked 142nd). As for Americas, they will head out on the road to face off against El Dorado at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
