Volleyball Recap: Nashoba Regional Comes Up Short

Nashoba Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Ayer Shirley Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in April.

While Nashoba Regional ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-19, 24-26, 25-19.

Nashoba Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Ayer Shirley, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Nashoba Regional nor Ayer Shirley have any future games scheduled.
