Softball Recap: Edgar Extends Road Winning Streak to Three

Edgar won the last time they faced Rhinelander and things went their way on Saturday too. The Wildcats came out on top against the Hodags by a score of 5-1.

Edgar's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Rhinelander, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Edgar will welcome Marathon at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give the Wildcats their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Rhinelander, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lakeland at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Thunderbirds will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Hodags surely won't give up without a fight.
